Looks like this place is being renovated and a lot of stores inside are not operating. The crab cake platter one crab cake 2 small sides $32) and the steamed sea food you pick 3 seafood $26$ from the front stores taste better than I expected. The crab cake is made with a lot of real crab meat. The blue crabs are meaty and a lot of fat.

Went to Lexington Market to check on the construction progress- to discover that not any store had moved into the new digs. Search around to find that FAIDELY SEAFOOD stayed (for now) in their same location. Went there ordered the CATFISH PLATTER (1 piece of catfish) a regular LUMP CRABCAKE. I thought the 2 side dishes were better than the main meal. It was a bit pricey for the little amount of meal they give you. The food was OK- but their famous crab cake wasn 't all that. A little disappointed.

Loved this place as a kid, but there's almost no fresh produce or vegan food in the whole market. I CAN'T WAIT for the new building to open up, so I can go grocery shopping, get a vegan snack on the way home, and upgrade my rating to a 5!

I do not recommend it. it's very dangerous. there are too many homeless outside. I did not feel safe, that day there were fights around the site. just stay away for your safety.
