Food was good... I liked the potato croquettes the best. The ramen was good as well but I've had better. Noodles are very firm which many like. ??The service from Alex was exceptional and excellent. She paid attention to details and made sure to be helpful. I truly appreciated her efforts. The seating is plentiful and the ambiance was good for a ramen shop. ?Vegetarian options: Vegan ramen was good and potato croquettes are yummy ?
I've been to Kilpo a few times and this time the broth just didn't taste as good as it typically does. It didn't have that much flavor too it. Also, it was sent a lot of chicken in the noodles.I got the spicy Shoyu and my partner got the regular shoyu and we both thought it was mid this time.
Coming from Silver Spring Maryland is a good drive to get here, but it is worth it. This is one of those places you need to go back as a must-have for lunch dinner. I never had ramen as what I had at Kippo. They take to another level. I will come back here every time I am in the area!
I've never written a review before but I feel like I owe it to Kippo. I am a HUGE ramen lover, almost everywhere I travel I will try a local ramen place. Kippo has never been outranked from #1 on my list. I've been coming here with my boyfriend for the past six years and it never gets old. Fast service, welcoming staff, really cozy vibe inside, amazing food and sooo inexpensive!! Kippo, I love you, please never leave me. Btw...the chicken broth is good but the pork broth (specifically the spicy tonkotsu) is by far the best way to go, in my opinion.
