Mccarthy's Sundaes - Ballybunion

We are big fans of ice cream and have probably tried over countless places during our years of traveling. McCarthy's is definitely one of the best, with fantastic ice cream and an incredibly cool owner named Joanna. She is awesome and will gladly whip up whatever treat you're craving. I always enjoy visiting this restaurant for its fantastic ice cream and doughnuts topped with delicious chocolate sauce. The staff are consistently friendly and there is a wide variety of ice cream flavors to choose from. While the prices are on the higher side, the portions are always generous. I have yet to try the hot drinks here, but I have never been disappointed with anything I've ordered.

Went here today with family. Lady behind counter was brilliant. Wanted my kids to share mega muffin and my little girl was worried her brother would eat it all and lady offered to put on separate plates. Fabulous muffin and icecream and the donuts...with hot choc sauce were beautiful and at total couldn't fault it. Cannot wait to go back!!

There is an amazing selection of ice cream and the quality is wonderful.The hot mini donuts with chocolate sauce are the best ever. The staff are very friendly and take their time to describe all the flavours and options The atmosphere in the shop is...vibrant and I love taking a table to enjoy my delicious ice cream. I will be back!
