Kilcooly's Country House - Ballybunion

The restaurant has a charming atmosphere, with friendly staff and great food and service! I would highly recommend it as they were willing to go above and beyond to accommodate my needs.

During my visit to Ballybunion in September, I had a wonderful Sunday lunch with my cousin. The service was fantastic, and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return when I'm back in Ballybunion. Best wishes to the entire team!

We got married in Kilcoolys on August 30th and boys did they deliver. Due to the weather being nice for once, Joan set up the outside so we could marry under two trees in the lawn. They listened to some of our mad ideas, and as long as it was possible they had no problem. What I loved also is that for the wedding there were loads of books and cranny’s around the area so people could chat, dance, Have a drink in the bar or a chat outside. It was so relaxed. Now the food. I’m not being biased here, but the food was the best I ever had at a wedding. It was the talk of the night. The staff were angels from The day before when they were so patient with us setting up and sometimes accidentally getting in their way, to the day of where they held themselves so well and served to perfection in the bar, kitchen and restaurant. Thank you Joan, John and all the amazing staff at Kilcoolys, you honestly helped me create my dream, laid back wedding and I’ll never forget it!

This was our 3rd year staying at Kilcooly’s for a week each time. The owners and staff are always very warm, friendly and so inviting. It’s like coming home each time we stay. Atmosphere, food and service are always spectacular! Thank you John and Joan for an excellent time.

Decided to take a break from cooking dinner and headed to Kilcooly’s for our Sunday lunch. Eating outdoors in October was a new experience for me. Our food was as always delicious I had a spaghetti with salmon hake cod and prawns it was delicious. The two ladies who served us were very attentive and I was delighted to see that vacant tables didn’t remain so for long. The background music was enjoyable and I really didn’t notice the fact that I was sitting. Good luck with this venture John and Joan maybe next time I will try it after dark
