Having never been to Ballarat before and also suffering soul crushing hunger I literally walked into the first place that served food- lucky for me it

Looks like a pub from the outside, but at lunch and dinner times is basically one big pub bistro. Decent quality food, not too pricey.

We came in without a booking on Sunday Lunch, 5 adults and 2 kids. The staff was friendly and we got a table. The place was not very busy at that time. The food is reasonable, and you have to order at the counter. The service is very minimum, but with a smile.

Called in for a meal on Friday and Sunday and service was very friendly and efficient; meals where tasty and delicious. Will call in again when in the area

The only reason that I haven't rated this restaurant one star is that I have had one reasonable meal here in the past.I had lunch here yesterday and it was a huge waste of $28. I ordered the chicken red curry from the menu and far from being a tingling Thai dish it turned up as a sort of Italian ragu with curry spices. I hunted for the chicken (it was there but so minimal that I could probably have prosecuted them under the trades description act).Most disappointing and won't be hurrying back.
