Reliably great coffee with a relaxed and friendly ambience and wonderful food, mostly created in the kitchen at really good-value prices, it's not surprising that it's very popular with a wide cross-section of Ballarat locals and visitors. We're heading back home to Tassie but we enthusiastically refer friends and family to here as a great catch-up spot on the edge-of-town but still having a very accessible, good-vibe location. Come to think of it, maybe it's a touch of naturally wholesome Tasmania in Victoria...Mmmm...we've had the best of both worlds! Keep up the great job, Wes and the team!
A little gem tucked away a short distance from the CBD. We popped in for an afternoon tea on our way from Ballarat to Geelong. The building and decor is old and quaint. I wish I had a place like this near us in outer suburban Melbourne. I had a long black coffee and the Boss a hot chocolate. Matched with a pair of Macarons (one passionfruit and the other caramel) and a Florentine it made for a lovely break.
Was pleasantly surprised with the menu quality of the food. The staff were friendly accommodating. I found the surrounds very appealing with a good view it was quiet. I will definitely come back
A cosy café. The foods in the chilled cabinet look delightful, but honestly the thing that has me so moved as to give them a 5 star review is that the hot chocolate was actually hot, not tepid as with many other places. Also that the drink was a very reasonable price of $5 for a large.
I had breakfast here due to the proximity to the accommodation I was staying at and I am glad I stopped in for breakfast. The coffee was nice but nothing exceptional where the rustic avocado was amazing, better than I expected.
