Panchitos - Bakersfield

I had a disappointing first experience at this restaurant. It took 20 minutes for our party of nine to receive water, and only half of our orders were delivered correctly. The other half had to be sent back at least three times because they were wrong. The food was just average... but we ended up having a good laugh about the whole situation since everything went so wrong.

This restaurant offers genuine Mexican cuisine with a higher level of food quality. The service is also exceptional. This was my first visit, and I was blown away by the chicken mole—it was fantastic. They have many unique dishes to explore. The staff went out of their way to assist us, providing helpful suggestions and explanations of the menu items. My friends and I definitely plan to return frequently, as there are so many other dishes we want to try. I highly recommend Panchitos! Plus, parking is convenient.

The chips tasted stale, as if they came straight from a bag, and the salsa resembled tomato paste more than anything fresh. Additionally, the silverware they provided was unsatisfactory.

If you like Rancho Grande, you’ll like this place for sure. Similar menu with great prices. Excellent, fast, lunch specials too.
