Bistro La Marée Haute - Baie-Comeau

Long wait for a drink. 20+ minutes. Servers had trouble knowing their sections. Start to finish was over 2 hours. We placed drink and food orders same time. First order of bread was stale. Second order of bread was burnt badly. Beef tartar was cut large like steak instead of cut for tartar and was poorly seasoned. Lacked any flavor. Salmon tartar had vinegar and was cut large like ceviche instead of tartar. If you want to make ceviche then change the description. Pasta lacked flavour and taste. Potato fries were good. Watched several tables complain about poor food quality and poor service. Several tables. Liked that they had some local craft beers. Wine list was lacking quality options. Requested the bill several times and had to get up to leave before receiving the bill. Not the type of restaurant you would expect to find in such a nice hotel. Very disappointed. Yes the hotel is nice. yes the view is nice. No I will never return here to dine again.

We appreciate your presence and your contributions. You've also won our mother's heart. It was a complete success all around. Thank you to the entire team!

There are rarely brunches in the morning in Baie-Comeau, so we took the opportunity to try it out. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was very good. I will definitely be going back!

Always excellent, and the staff is so welcoming! I love the Gin Tartare special on Thursdays!

I had a wonderful evening. The wine selection was well-curated, and the dishes were fresh and delicious. The view of the St. Lawrence River really enhanced the experience.
