However, there were no side servings of fresh vegetables (like sprouts and basil) for the pho. The Hoisin sauce was added directly to the bowl of noodles, which meant I couldn't adjust the flavor to my liking afterward. I would have preferred to have it served on the side. As for the Vietnamese coffee, it was quite strong; I prefer mine iced. On a side note, I just found out that there are different ways to prepare pho, and in Northern Vietnam, they don't serve the veggies with the pho.
YES indeed!!!! Who says no to hot pho soup in Baguio?? I guarantee no one does and if they do, they’re missing out badly! It’s one of the very sparse Vietnamese restaurants in the city and probably one of the better ones. It’s extremely popular and for good reason it’s cheap and it’s extremely tasty. The broth itself will make you ditch your jacket and feel warm throughout the duration of the meal. It’s a small place so it tends to get packed during lunch and dinner but it is definitely worth the wait of you do have to do it. It’s a little pricier than your typical Baguio food fare but it definitely hits the spot if you’re craving for something that will warm you and comfort you from the cold Baguio weather.
The pho tasted fresh and very fragrant, so does their fresh spring roll. Cap your meal with their homemade tea. Affordable and delish.
Majority of the seats were outdoors, but they were already taken up by a large family, so we were seated indoors at a bar right where you can see the kitchen in action. Pho hoa has nothing on their pho. Their special pho (a combination of tendon, flank, and meatballs) is truly something special. The amount of meat is generous, and the meatballs (which, based on past experience, I expected to be springy and chewy with a consistency close to fishballs) are surprisingly tender and flavorful, with a texture close to very finely ground meat that just falls apart in your mouth. Not to mention that the broth is super flavorful. Definitely the best pho I've had so far. Looking forward for this business to expand and hopefully get more seats and tables.
Perfect Vietnamese foods existing in Baguio City. Must try for everyone's craving for authentic foods.
