フィードバックを提供するSince our last visit maybe three years ago, the restaurant apparently has some positive changes in appearance. A few minutes before our reserved time to an advantage as we had a selection of tables in the main room. The service was... attentive and helpful, without being pushed. The three tasty appetizers appeared with the drinks and were followed by an excellent soup. The main courses liver and Venison Ragout were also first class. The cleverly present sweets tablet proved to be very tempting, but unfortunately only the lower half of the Tiramisu lived up to expectations. The prices here are a few notches over the other restaurants in the city, but the 10% discount voucher for overnight guests in this city helped to balance this. For a special night out of this a place that has really good quality and makes guests from at least five different nations feel that they have made the right choice. We will come back when we visit Bad Schönborn
This restaurant at the family-run hotel and restaurant Erck offers what we would call contemporary regional cuisine. We ate here for four days because there was no reason to eat. Each dish was of a high standard with the types of objects...local in the region, but in a modern style. Two menus were offered, one fixed the other every day, while the Carte had a fair but manageable choice and prices are very reasonable. Around EUR30 including wine and beer. Each main dish has a recommended wine through the 20cl carafe. All wines come from the region, which means an excellent selection of Rieslings and other whites. But British are used to choose wines from all over the world and for us, German reds simply do not compare. The really excellent craft beer that the Erck family has on the train is worth mentioning. Many nice touches like the three small delicacies served before the first course, and a special water served with coffee to balance the acidity. All employees are very professional, friendly, helpful and attentive, without being intrusive. Definitely worth a detour if you do not stay in the very nice hotel.
