The biggest upset was the denial of the reject. The first Titos and Sprite was perfect. The second was Totos and carbonated water. Was told they can make another but we will still have to pay for this one. After a little arguing, they saw it my way.Other issues: shrimp came out spicy when ordered boiled. Waitress came back and said the shrimp were rinsed off. Only utensil given is a fork. Brisket was cut with the grain, which is not good to begin with and having no knife topped off the irritation. The sausage was not cut all the way through, again still no knife to finish the cut. About 30% of the crawfish was mushy, as in dead prior to being put in the boil. Crawfish hard to peal, did not let it soak in the water with fire off after cooking. Had to ask for additional plates when appetizer came out. Wife’s dinner arrived at same time as appetizer. Drinks a little high priced. Don’t get a bill; the server has a portable machine. She pulled up my bill and took my credit card. Had to do the tip while she was standing there watching. Had to ask for an itemized receipt, didn’t want to get cheated.Worth mentioning: Very nice staff. Crawfish had great flavor. Free crab leg because they messed up the shrimp. Great atmosphere. Decent food prices.Overall, don’t care to go back.
It was good food! They give you a lot for your money.
Really good crawfish! The seasoning is really tasty and the crawfish are juicy. The fried mushrooms are awesome too but to be honest $4 for 4 small mushrooms in ur crawfish boil is a rip off. Better to order the fried mushrooms peel off batter and soak in the crawfish juice, voila! U get more mushrooms for the price this way(in my opinion) Now the best part was the banana pudding!! Wow, I'm not a pudding lover but something told me to try theirs and it did not disappoint. A little steep for $6 and not much of a quantity but the flavor made up for price. I recommend this place for sure. I believe it used the kickin cajun and idk what happened but the food seems to be the same.
Someone needs to say that y'all's crawfish died in vein. Tough, overcooked, chewy. I brought it to the managers attention who stated they are never overcooked or chewy. Well she is wrong. You can say you always cook them the same amount of time every time. When you serve mixed size crawfish you have to find the right balance.
This place is now called Bou-Shays. I ordered two of there 5lb boiled crawfish specials to go. I arrived to pick it up and grabbed the bag noticing how light weight it was. I pulled the two bags out and it was very noticeable to be 3lbs at best. Told the staff and they came back with 10lbs. Wonder how many times that happen with inexperienced eyes. The crawfish themselves were spot on with flavor. But I was only able to salvage 5lbs of the 10lbs I purchased because they were extremely overcooked. The shells were very soft and mushy, and the meat just fell into pieces when you were lucky enough to pull some out. Won't be back for crawfish.
