Short Stop - Austin

I'm an original Austinite and have lived here 40 plus years. Long story short we end up in East Austin at one of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat. Location is good, staff is friendly and the food omg so so good. Just as i remember from when I was a child. So yes I called the store when I got home to south Austin and had to let them know. Jus picked up my friend from the East side. We mentioned that we were hungry, and since I've never been there before, we decided to check it out. It turned out to be a great choice. The food was surprisingly good, and everything was cooked in butter.

The atmosphere there is quite nice, and I appreciate that they use gloves.

This is a no-frills, made-to-order burger joint with a drive-thru and walk-up option, but no seating available. It's similar to PTerry's, but without the upscale retro vibe; it has a classic diner-style feel. The fries are perfectly crispy and well-seasoned with just the right amount of salt. Be sure to add jalapeños and ask for your bun to be toasted!

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and I was really impressed by the excellent customer service. The staff at the window were friendly, and I received my food quickly. I couldn't resist digging into the fries right away while they were still warm! I decided to park down the street to enjoy my bacon burger, fries, and cherry limeade. Everything was delicious, and I highly recommend this location. Although it seems like it doesn't need any more recommendations—the line of cars wrapped around the building was a clear sign of its popularity. I had no idea they even had a double drive-thru until I drove up to check it out. When a place gets that much business, you know it's good!
