El Pollo Rico - Austin

I loved their chicken so much I went back within a week. Didn't have to wait too long for my meal, but if I did it would be worth it.Fantastic staff, food, and service! Try their chicken and orchata. Don't forget the extra salsa!

I can get more for my money at Chili's and get a fajita plate with beef for the price that they charge. Chickens only 99 cents a pound at the store. They've raised their prices $30 plus percent in one year. This is my way of protesting not buying anything and leaving. I can afford it but I'm not paying it because they're trying to cater to the wrong crowd. I don't know any Mexican families or Hispanic families I think that $13 for a half a chicken is a good price. Especially when they can make it at their house probably just as good.

We come here very often when we are feeling very hungry. The chicken and rice and beans are the best these are the only rice that I will eat everything. The workers are very polite and respectful, sometimes the line is big but they have never gotten any order wrong. And all the food is the best.

Tostadas are soooo good. I LOVE the green salsa. I could literally put it on everything!
