El Alma Cafe Y Cantina - Austin

Wow. I can’t believe I didn’t come here sooner. Puts basically everything else in Austin to shame. Reading some of the negative reviews on here are hilarious, ignore those people. What a flipping fantastic place! Great servers, atmosphere, and food! I ordered too much and ate too much but heck did I enjoy every bit of it!

We appreciate the sweet potato rellenos returning! It is my absolute favorite relleno and I crave the mole verde. I have been missing it during the pandemic. Of course, service and atmosphere were great as usual. I’m just excited about the rellenos!

The food was great! We tried the elote placers, lamb Barbados tacos, and the corn pudding. Everything this was delicious and our drinks were good. Our waiter, I can’t remember his name but he had amazing naturally long nails, he was was wonderful. I look forward to returning and trying the banana bread pudding!

Fantastic food. Great service (William). A little noisy but OK. Yes AC works despite earlier comments. We sat at front and it was 107 outside. Perfectly comfortable inside. El Alma is now a must visit whenever in Austin
