Famous Dave's Aurora

I would not recommend returning to this restaurant. Our waitress rushed through the entire meal, making it difficult to enjoy. When I asked about something missing from my sandwich, she quickly replied that it did not come with that unless specifically requested. After informing her that I wanted it, she returned to say that the kitchen had simply not been aware of how the dish was supposed to be made. Why doesn't the kitchen know how to make their own food? Although my meal was comped, I was not impressed with the service, the subpar food, and the overall atmosphere. I will not be visiting this restaurant again.

Food has definitely declined since the last time I was in

I would have given more stars but was told open table overbooked their reservations by 40 people so we scooted to the bar to eat so otherwise we would have had an hour wait.

We arrived on Father’s Day after making a reservation only to be told they were not honoring reservations because some large parties had arrived. Never going back.

It was Father 's day so a bit of a delay expected, but we had reservations for lunch at 3:30, when we arrived they said lots of people had reservations and we are short staffed so they just put everyone on a walk in list after saying 15 mins. 45 minutes later we were seated, missing the lunch window. Then, when the food did come out it was small and was not good : the Sausage was excellent, Mac good, brisket okay, pulled pork nasty parts at bottom of heap that should have been thrown away, not served for consumption . I am sorry about the short staff, but treating customers this way with poor service and worse, poor food, isn 't the answer...next time say sorry, offer a free appetizer as a small token, honor lunch, make sure food you do serve is worthy of your name.
