The Backyard Bar Restaurant - Auckland

I took some friends here for lunch. Simple location on the highway with ample parking nearby. The table was reserved thanks to our reservation, but the place was not too busy on a public holiday. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. At first we ordered some peach cocktails that were garnished with mint, sweet and tasty. One of the groups ordered a tap beer and it was cooled and well poured. The children chicken pasta dish saw and smells delicious and the child said it was cheesey and yum. The loaded wedges were stacked on a melted cheese base, covered with bacon and spices and covered with a generous portion of acidic cream. would be enough for a main or as a side between 4. The other chips and curly pommes were so good and came with Aioli and were also large portions. I got the goddess Salat who was fresh and came with watermelon cubes (Yum) and a delicious Vinaiigrette. I ordered the salad like (with the feta) for the photo, but my friends happily added the feta to their loaded wedges. I also ordered the charred Broccollini, which was so delicious, El dente, if this can even be a term for vegetables and the lightly spicy sauce on the edge of the dish was a beautiful touch. My friends ordered the Rindburger and said the Patty was so delicious and delicious very recommended. The meat pizza had fresh peat, crispy base and the cheeses were delicious. To dessert, the selection of sorbet was super sweet. The peach layer on the bottom was our favorite. Beautiful touch with the pistachio crumb. The sizzling brownie was definitely an exciting display and although tasty, would suggest asking the ice cream on the side instead of on the hot plate. Enjoy some friendly games of the pool before we left. Good music (the classics) and good moods. My friends are already planning their return visit.

Went to the backyard last night with a group of mates and had a great time. Super friendly waitress who made amazing recommendations about the food and drink. Sat in a cute outdoor area and enjoyed some tasty frozen cocktails. Will definitely be back again. Thanks :

Had the sirloin, perfectly cooked medium rare and was a quality cut. Roast veges were amazing too. Service was fast and friendly. Only down side was the booth I sat in was very shabby with badly cracked cushions, but not going to hold that against them given how good the food was.

Easy going staff and atmosphere. Children friendly with large grass, playground, pool and pool table. Pool is in middle of outside area so it's easy to supervise.

Love the atmosphere. Friendly staff and good customer service. Happy hours finish at 6pm but the lovely waitress took our order at 6pm with special price. A bit disappointed with the steak and the ribs.
