Hanami Sushi - Auburn

On a cold and rainy day in Auburn, my brothers and I craved something different for lunch, so we headed downtown and chose sushi. I've dined here many times but have never shared a review before. First off, you absolutely have to try the special soup! The chef prepares it with Enoki mushrooms, and while it costs a bit more, it's definitely worth it. If you’re new to sushi, the tekka maki (blue or yellow tuna rolls) are fantastic. The combo tempura plate is also delicious and well-prepared. Vegetable tempura can be tricky to get right, as it often ends up tasting like deep-fried baby food. However, Hanami nails it with their vegetable and shrimp tempura. And seriously, don’t miss out on that special soup!

This is undeniably the best sushi I've ever experienced. The OMG Roll and Yummy Roll are generously loaded with toppings. The Golden Gate is an excellent deep-fried California roll, and the Lincoln Way stands out as the finest baked salmon roll I've encountered. I sample a baked salmon roll at every sushi restaurant I visit, and none have surpassed the quality of the one at Hanami.

The service was incredible! My dad and I ordered the Dragon roll and the Red Dragon roll, and both were outstanding. The miso soup was unlike anything I've ever tasted before!

It's concerning to see such a lack of social skills and manners in our youth. Who thought it was a good idea to hire someone with bright green hair and such a robotic attitude at a nice neighborhood sushi restaurant? She would likely be better suited for a factory job where she wouldn’t have to interact with customers. I’ll be sure to warn everyone in my Auburn community to avoid this place in the future.
