Makai - Atlantic City

My friends and I were looking for a more enjoyable breakfast experience than just speck and eggs, so we decided to try this restaurant. We absolutely loved the mushroom toast and the pork dishes. The service was outstanding - our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. The ambiance of the restaurant was very relaxing and had a true tropical resort vibe. The Hawaiian sunflower drink for two was massive and a fun way to kick off a leisurely day.

My wife and I had an amazing experience at this restaurant over the weekend, and I really wanted to share it. After we checked out of our room on Saturday (following a late night of playing table games), we were both hungry and in need of some breakfast and a bloody mary. We met Eric, the bartender, and he was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The drink was delicious (garnished with bacon) and he provided a variety of teas for my wife to choose from to help her feel better. He also recommended the maitake mushroom toast, which was incredible. If you like mushrooms, you must try it. We didn't have much interaction with the staff, but everyone we encountered was very friendly. We also tried the western omelet which exceeded our expectations. My only regret is not having enough appetite to try more items from their interesting menu. We will definitely be back on our next visit for the food and excellent customer service. Our visit was definitely a highlight of our weekend. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

The food portions were generous and delicious, and the host was welcoming. However, I am giving this restaurant 4 stars because the server was not very attentive and seemed in a rush. Despite being in a casino, the server should still make all guests feel welcome, especially a party celebrating a birthday. It was our first time here and we decided to have dessert elsewhere due to the server's demeanor. The person who brought out the food was friendly and should consider being a server instead. The way a waiter treats their guests greatly impacts their likelihood of returning.

The makai restaurant is so stunning and easy to suck. this is a great place to breakfast, lunch and dinner. we had brunch and it was a hit. the pretty flowers on the tellers and the sweet star fruit on the passion fruit mimosa was definitiw a sweet note to the experience. the ambiente was very cool and the server was the sweetest. this is the place for a family or couples just want to have good food and experience.

Jonathan our waiter was top-notch, professional and friendly while providing great advice on drinks and dinner. The Poke Bowl was delicious and the Kalua Pork was really tasty. The 7 Island Martini was wonderful.
