Lazy Betty - Atlanta

Lazy Betty is our favorite restaurant hands down. We had our wedding reception there and it was absolutely a once in a lifetime experience. We had a 12 course tasting menu with our 40 closest friends and family. Lazy Betty’s chefs specially designed the menu just for our wedding. Every single course was amazing I felt like I was on a whimsical adventure as we worked through the menu. The sommelier was legendary his wine and drink pairings were perfect and exciting. From his presentation of each wine, you could easily feel his passion for wine. The pastry chef created an absolutely beautiful wedding cake the cake was pistachio and vanilla and decorated with sunflowers (my favorite flower) made from icing. Every guest was blown away and many told us that the experience was a once in a lifetime one for them. We chose Lazy Betty for its food but also its vibe. Their new location has a very chill and botanical influenced design. Nothing about it is pretentious and everything feels down to earth and intimate, yet elevated in the right ways. The service was also seamless the folks at Lazy Betty never skipped a beat during a 12 course tasting menu for 40 people. Pretty incredible. Everything was flawless and beautiful, and we are just so grateful for everyone there. It’s clear that Lazy Betty is what it is because of the people there every chef, server, sommelier, and bartender were so excited about what they were doing that night and that energy just further amplified our night. Taylor at Lazy Betty also helped us plan everything and she made the entire process so easy and fun. If you are wanting a unique wedding reception with amazing food that your guests will always remember, I highly recommend Lazy Betty.

Don’t come here. Food: 4 stars Service: 0 stars Ambiance: 0 stars I am thoroughly disappointed by my experience at this 'Michelin-starred ' restaurant. While the food was well-prepared, the service was subpar and felt unintentional. Our waiter was cold to the point of being rude. The ambiance was ruined by bad music, which was neither fitting nor enjoyable. The set menu was incredibly slow, almost 4 hours, which would have been acceptable if the portions weren 't so small. We left the restaurant still hungry. To top it off, despite the restaurant plastering that a 20% tip was included in the price, our waiter informed us (unprompted) that the tip was only for the workers in the back and that he 'd appreciate an additional tip for the workers working out front. This left a very bad taste in our mouths. I wouldn 't have bothered writing a review, but the audacity of asking for an extra tip was ridiculous for a $1000+ bill. Also we got overcharged for the wine and I had to let them know. Overall, this restaurant failed to live up to its Michelin star. This establishment just cares about money. Save your money and dine at Bacchanalia.

So I have to rewrite my review of Lazy Betty now that I've been here 3 times in the past month. After trying basically everything on the tasting menu and bar menu (except the wagyu dish) I can now give an honest review of this spot. Highest quality service, bar staff, and kitchen staff you'll find anywhere in Atlanta. These people are consummate professionals. The space itself is dark and cozy, both private and engaging. But we want to know about the food right? Everything is spectacular. No dish fails to wow you with flavor and presentation. My personal favorites so far have been the angliotti, scallop, and strawberry foie gras. And for the price, it's really not bad compared to other tasting menus. They validate your parking and the tip is included in the price. Supplementals are definitely worth it the risotto and scallop. Personally I'd pass on the caviar service. But you will absolutely not be disappointed in the tasting menu or even bar a la carte options. These people will go above and beyond to cater to any dietary restrictions or allergies. Expect first class service and first class food everytime. Highly recommend Lazy Betty for a top notch fine dining experience.

New space is incredible! So open and cozy. Food continues to not disappoint. It is pure magic!!

This place is awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious courses and amazing wines offered by a knowledgeable AND personable staff. Everything was great! Some courses went beyond. They rocked my world. I really couldnt tell you... Thank you all for the time and effort you put in to make such an amazing dining experience happen. Thank you. I am eternally grateful!
