The friendly and welcoming staff and locals were the highlight of our visit to Peeramon Hotel, as is the surrounding beauty of the countryside. Whilst our meal was average, the beer was cold, served quickly, and the ambience of the old pub was really worth a visit.

We dropped in here for lunch on Saturday as the hotel has historical significance to our family. The staff member behind the bar was extremely friendly and helpful and the food was good (and extremely good value). None of the dining rooms were open for us to eat though so we had to sit in the bar. It is a shame that more of the hotel isn't open/renovated so that people can look around as it's got a lot of interesting history to it. This place has a lot of potential and I think tourists would go off the beaten track to visit if it was utilised more.

Stopped in for a couple of coldies, I just wanted to swing the long rope with a ring on the end to get it on the hook a few meters away, which I did on my third go, and the locals were impressed.

A bit off the main road, the Peeramon Hotel is an older style pub which offers good views of the surrounding countryside whilst you sip a refreshing beverage.Lots of character in this building adds to the relaxing atmosphere. A short drive from Yungaburra, put this hotel on your "to do" list. Somewhere to go at days end following some serious sightseeing in the region.
