The Varsity - Athens

I love eating at the Varsity I have never had a bad experience there unlike most other fast food restaurants

It’s hard wearing BAMA gear in the GA Varsity . But the food is worth it.

Had to get the Varsity one more time before it gets demolished. It’s currently only drive-thru, but still has all the classic menu items you crave. We had a big order of many hotdogs: plain, chili, and slaw. All very good in the clogging-my-arteries kind of way. Very nostalgic, actually. Had onion rings and fries, which were nice and crispy. Fries are more the shoe string variety and thin. Onion rings were very big, which is nice since you only get maybe 7 of them. My favorite thing at the Varsity is the Frosted Orange. Thick, sweet, and just a small bit tangy. Delicious, but comes with many brain freezes. I’ll miss the Varsity here in Athens. Not sure if I would make the trek to Atlanta just for another Frosted Orange, but I might consider it.

I love the Varsity. It brings back memories of my college days at the University of Georgia. I love the food here. The Chili Dogs are unique and tasty, as are the Peach Pies and Frosted Orange drinks. That's just the beginning, as the menu is full of wonderful offerings. It may not be the healthiest meal you'll eat, but it'll be over if the most memorable. You'll love it too!

Had the bacon double cheese burger and the onion rings. Best onion rings around. Normally get the two chili dogs which are always great. If going through Georgia I always try to plan to go through Athens just for the Varsity.
