Our entrees were also very good. My companion had the Louisiana shrimp po-boy, filled with fried shrimp, topped with remoulade, lemon dill, hot sauce, lettuce, and tomato on a brioche bun, with a side of crispy fries. He really enjoyed it. I chose the Where Y'at Burger, which came with American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and a fried egg, also served with fries. The runny yolk brought all the flavors together, and she was quite satisfied. As for me, I had the fried crab cake po-boy served with chicken noodle soup. The sandwich featured lettuce, tomato, sliced pickles, and remoulade. It was tasty, but I’ve had better crab cakes. It’s tough to find one with the right texture, and Bubba’s crab cake could have been crispier than it was. Still, while the texture wasn’t ideal, the flavor made up for it. Would I order this dish again? Probably not, as it didn’t quite satisfy my cravings for a perfect crab cake. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. I recommend giving Bubba's a try; their menu is refreshing and different from the typical restaurant fare. I appreciate the variety, and you might enjoy it too.
I've been to this cozy and popular restaurant twice now, and it's quickly become my go-to place. After waiting in a long line at TJ Maxx on Christmas Eve, my coworker and I were in need of a drink. We turned to Yelp and found this bar nearby, which was nearly empty—just what we needed after that crowded experience. The server greeted us immediately and handed us the menus, and we noticed he was training a new staff member. As we looked over the menu, we were pleasantly surprised to find that martinis were only $3! We couldn't resist ordering a couple. They also have a happy hour from 1 PM to 8 PM, which is fantastic. The food menu is impressive, with plenty of spicy options that I love. Plus, all of their desserts are homemade, and the dessert selection is extensive. Now, about the drinks: 1. Martinis: 5 out of 5! At just $3, it's an unbeatable deal! 2. Woowoo: 5 out of 5! This sweet vodka drink is delightful. 3. New York Sour: 10 out of 10! This is my absolute favorite. It’s a whiskey drink with lemon, topped with a red wine float—amazing, and only $5! As for the food: 1. Chicken Quesadillas: 5 out of 5! Delicious. 2. Mac N' Cheese: 5 out of 5! Excellent! 3. Cajun Shrimps and Fries: 5 out of 5! Wonderful flavors! The service is fantastic—everyone is friendly and quick. I highly recommend this place!
Whenever I'm in the mood for some good old-fashioned comfort food, Bubba's Bistro is my go-to spot! You can really tell that the Southern dishes are likely based on family recipes. They're rich in flavor and absolutely delicious. Your taste buds will definitely agree!
I reallyyy want to like this place more than I do because I love the quirky atmosphere, nice waiters, and types of food they serve. However, the flavor just falls short of expectations and not worth the high price tag. I 've been here a couple times and their brunch will cost your around $20 which isn 't bad for the portions. However all the items are premade simple items like waffles or poached eggs and bacon. Its more putting together items than actually cooking up a dish if that makes sense and then charging $20 for it. I 've tried their Louisiana Shrimp Po 'boy sandwich for $17 that was drenched in a very strong sauce. The proportions were off and it tasted like straight up vinegar or hot sauce without the hot. It also came on a brioche hamburger bun which I wasn 't used to. The shrimp itself was cooked well and breaded nicely. It came with delicious french fries. Overall, it was pretty underwhelming. I also tried their crab cakes which did not taste fresh at all. They weren 't crispy and were very soggy. They also tasted more fishy than it should have and again, the sauce was very overpowering but this time it at least disguised the taste. Their fish n chips were ok. The fish could have been cooked a little longer and needed more seasoning in the batter. The chicken pot pie was the worst offender. It was very decadent, creamy, and thick and had no pie. Instead, you get two old, hard, and overly salted pieces of corn bread. You were eating a thick chicken noodle soup. Also please note they do charge a credit card transaction fee so bring cash or run across the street to TD bank!
There is available outdoor dining for about 4 parties (max 5 per table). The dining is nicely enclosed, warm, and has an individual heat lamp per table!! The service is attentive and quick to serve your food. I only ordered a mac and cheese since it was my second dinner. However the dish was extremely bland and needed more salt and hot sauce. I will likely provide an updated review when I dine here for the rest of their food!
