Mezzaluna - ASPEN

This is an incredible spot to grab a delicious meal. I highly recommend the Rocky Mountain Trout and the steak. I have no complaints about the service, although the atmosphere could benefit from a more upscale touch to enhance the overall experience. One detail that stood out for me was the cold, small pieces of bread provided without any butter; I believe they could definitely improve on that. Overall, I recommend visiting—excellent food and a wonderful atmosphere!

Everything was great. My partner and I shared an appetizer of creamy tomato soup, a hangar steak for our main course, and tiramisu for dessert. The portions were plentiful for the two of us, especially with the addition of the bread and breadsticks. Each dish was absolutely delicious.

The food was decent, and I would consider returning, especially given the reasonable prices, particularly since many restaurants close during the off-season. However, my biggest disappointment was the service. I was dining alone on a Saturday night when there were only about five other tables occupied, and there seemed to be more waitstaff than diners. Despite this, I had to ask for water twice and order another drink from a waiter who wasn’t assigned to my table. Customer service is very important to me, and while my server was pleasant, they just weren't attentive enough for my taste.

Isn't it wonderful to find a restaurant right when you need it! We were tired and hungry after spending a beautiful (rather cold) day at the White Lake (near Maroon Bells) and we started looking for a place to sit and enjoy a warm meal. We decided to sit outside with our one year old baby (it was a sunny afternoon). The waiter quickly got us a high chair and our menus. The food was prepared with the freshest ingredients and with no unnecessary spices. Try their GIANT CALAMARI (for $17.50), it's flash fried with spicy chili sauce. We also got Penne with Rock Shrimp, avocados, tomatoes and basil in a three citrus cream sauce and their Special Dish of the Day Ricotta with tomatoes and basil in a creamy sauce.
