Rise Shine Diner - Ashland

I don't believe I will be returning to Cracker Barrel in the future. This restaurant has bigger portions, lower prices, and the food is superior. I would enthusiastically suggest this dining establishment to anyone in search of a delicious breakfast. You can enjoy three large blueberry pancakes with bacon for less than $10.

Rise and Shine Diner is pretty amazing?they seem to have anything you could want for breakfast, they seem to be able to prepare everything better than anyone else, and you are served so promptly it takes your breath away! The portions are very generous, the waitresses are very pretty, everything goes perfectly from the minute you walk in the door! I admit I usually eat breakfast at home?where my heart is?but this Friday I woke early and wanted to photograph churches several counties away from my home, taking a chance on finding a good breakfast near my destination. Rise and Shine Diner was recommended to me by a local citizen of the county, and he had tears in his eyes from remembering the wonderful breakfasts he has enjoyed there over the years. His testimony was clearly so heartfelt that I drove twelve miles one way to learn for myself the magic?and I wasn?t disappointed! Country Ham wasn?t on the menu, but they had it, and it was not swimming in grease or paper thin, either! The eggs were beautifully cooked to order, the hashed browns were delicious AND plentiful, the Belgian Waffle incorporated blueberries! Rise and Shine Diner is fun and friendly and I would confidently recommend it to anyone who would like a refreshing start to his or her day! I guess the business is booming: the prices are so low that the volume and the EARNED tips must keep everyone smiling!

Great diner that has all the basics plus some very interesting choices like salt herring. Sounds scary but you've got to try it. Corned beef hash had to be one of the most interesting I've ever tried. Crunchy with potatoes peppers onions and not too much meat. Outstanding pancakes. Waitresses were super friendly and attentive. Ads all over the walls definitely added a unique element. Reasonable prices.

I visited this restaurant on my way home from North Carolina and it was definitely worth the stop. The homemade meals were fresh and delicious. I ordered the country fried steak breakfast and it was the best I've ever had. The coffee was also exceptional. The staff were very friendly and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. I will definitely be returning in the near future.

While visiting from out of town, we decided to try Rise Shine based on its positive reviews. We were not disappointed. I ordered the sausage gravy scrambled eggs, while my husband opted for the waffle combo. The breakfast was delicious and the service was great. If we were local, we would definitely make this our go-to breakfast spot. We also enjoyed reading the joke of the week.
