We were seated at a cozy table in the back, which was nice and private. Our server, Frankie, was exceptional. She informed us about a pre-show special that included three courses at a great price. We each chose different dishes for all three courses, and every one of them was exquisite. The entire staff, from our server to the busser, was friendly and attentive. Overall, we had a five-star experience.
The food and ambiance were nice, but I found the prices to be quite steep for what you receive. I ordered the tagliatelle carbonara, and the portion was very small for $32. Even if the noodles are made in-house, I still believe it's overpriced for what it is.
We had a reservation for 9 PM but arrived early to see if we could grab a spot at the bar. We were quickly seated and decided to enjoy our meal there. Our entire experience was absolutely fantastic, from chatting with other patrons at the bar to getting great recommendations from the staff. The food was incredible—truly a chef's kiss! I started with the tempura vegetables and had the panisse for my main course. My husband and I shared the Brussels sprouts, and he chose the NY strip for his entree. We indulged in a couple of cocktails, and for dessert, I had the vegan chocolate torte while he went for the carrot cake crème brûlée. Next time we’re in Asheville, this place will definitely be a must-visit!
My husband and I, downtown Asheville residents, finally had dinner here last night, and wondered why we waited so long to do so! We began the evening at the stylish bar, enjoying craft cocktails (margarita and black walnut Negroni), having a fun time chatting with the bartender. We were seated in the beautifully decorated contemporary dining area and ordered from the Locals’ Menu (both that menu and the regular menu are small, ensuring really fresh ingredients). We shared the best tempura we have ever eaten, a beet and feta starter, the Sunburst trout, and the hearty pork loin. The collards that accompanied the pork were absolutely amazing! Dessert was buttermilk panna cotta with a lime topping and a deconstructed carrot cake dish. We had glasses of a nice Sauvignon blanc. Friendly service, and they honored our Go Local card. Definitely highly recommend this restaurant!
Fantastic staff and amazing food! Hands down the best steak I have ever had. In a city that has a lot of food options, this one is a winner!
