Jettie Rae's Oyster House - Asheville

I sat solo at the bar and had a fantastic meal. Started with a dozen oysters (Fat Belly/Weskeag) that were shucked perfectly and cleaned (no shell pieces that get on your lips and the oysters were completely detached). Then the Asian salad with added shrimp, finished off with key lime pie. I also had a local IPA and their signature Manhattan. Yum! That was a ton of food but I'm on vacation so it's all good!

Absolutely delicious. We made reservations about a week or so ago... we were going to Toby Mac...so we got there for 445pm. We had to wear a mask to walk to our table... once seated I ordered a Frose )frozen rosé wine. We order alot of things. Fat belly oysters which were delicious full of brine just slide down perfectly. We ordered the octopus which was sautéed w/ olive oil served with a few slices of potato...the octopus was absolutely tender fresh slightly crispy on the outside. We ordered the oysters beniville...broiled stuffed with shrimp mushrooms ..pretty tasty.we ordered the caviar service which was pretty tasty. Basic American sturgeon nice taste served with creme fresh capers onions with potato chips(house made I believe) my husband ordered the mussels grouper special which was absolutely delicious I ordered the scallops which the mashed potato were perfect...smooth full of flavor. Both our dinners were the specials... we ordered the fried oysters which had a deliciously seasoned light batter on it the shrimp ceviche was a special made with tangy cucumber turmeric was melt in your mouth tender. We would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend.

This place is great for seafood lovers. Me and my girlfriend made a reservation earlier in the day for when they open at 430pm. We started with an appetizer of 8 Oysters (two of each kind that they offer) and fried clam strips. Both of which were very tasty and fresh. For our main course, I got the crab cakes and she got the fresh fish of the day. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend dining here if you are a fan of seafood.

Exciting new local restaurant in north Asheville! The service, atmosphere and food are fabulous. As a neighbor, I?d only recommend that it gets easier to navigate in regards to reservations and first-come-first-serve picnic table seating. I love the idea of just walking over last minute and having a drink and appetizer!

We have eaten at so many good seafood restaurants all along the coast so we weren't sure we needed to in the mountains but this place is a MUST!! The service is excellent (thank you Ed and everyone else also) and the atmosphere is great. Every single dish we had was absolutely delicious! I can rarely say that about someplace and it makes me so happy when I can!! I haven't had octopus that good in quite awhile. Wonderful experience all around. We don't even generally tend to eat desserts, especially key lime pie but their's, just like everything else we had was amazing. Looking forward to going back soon!
