Asian Golden Buffet - Asheville

I tried the lunch buffet, and overall, it was a mixed experience. There were some tasty dishes, along with a few that were just average. I was surprised to see tofu in the egg drop soup—I'm not sure why it was included, as it didn't really enhance the flavor; it just made the soup feel soft and slimy. Tofu could easily be served on the side for those who want it. However, the Thai dishes were delightful, and I was pleasantly surprised by the egg roll; even though it only had cabbage, it was quite tasty. It's hard to find great Chinese egg rolls in the South compared to the pork and shrimp varieties you find in NYC. Overall, I'd definitely consider coming back.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Given the limited options for good Chinese food in Asheville, I didn't have high expectations. While I wasn't blown away, this restaurant exceeded what I thought it would be. They have a buffet option, and you can take it to go by simply asking the hostess for a box. You can fill up one or more boxes, and they charge you based on weight. I ended up with a full box (as shown in the pictures) for under $10, including the tip. While nothing was spectacular, the crispy dishes were indeed crispy, the softer items were tender, and everything was well-seasoned. Even the tofu was quite enjoyable. Just make sure to grab all the accompanying sauces and dips. If you like Panda Express, you'll likely enjoy this place as well. And if you're fine with dining in, the value is unbeatable.

Additionally, they had dessert options that I found delightful, particularly the banana pudding and jello. The customer service was friendly, and the price for my meal was fantastic! I felt I got great quality food at an affordable price. If I ever find myself in this area again on vacation, I would love to return. If this restaurant were in my hometown in Florida, I would certainly be a regular! I had a wonderful experience, and I’ve definitely never encountered a buffet like this one back home that offers such tasty food at such a great price. Thank you!

Friendly staff!!! We went at 3:30 so we skipped the buffet and just ordered off the menu.. very reasonable prices and lots of good hot food! And the egg rolls were to die for if you order them off the menu they were $0.99 each! I could have just ate four of those and been happy! We had kung pao chicken and chicken with mixed vegetables and brown sauce which contained seven different kinds of vegetables! Highly recommend

I would highly recommend this restaurant and Buffet!! I go to lots of different buffets all over the area and this is definitely the best one I really try hard to provide good quality food and the owner and people work here really go above and beyond trying to take care of you. Make sure to come visit this place you would not be disappointing
