Stepping Stones - Ashbourne

The staff is pleasant and welcoming, the food is great for a Sunday dinner, but the only downside is the lack of meat, very stingy.

My dining experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. It began with poorly prepared food and concluded with apathetic servers and staff who showed no concern for my satisfaction.

We visited this restaurant in June 2022 and were disappointed to find that there was no separate vegan menu as indicated on the Happy Cow website. There were only 2 vegan options available on the regular menu: a salad and a burger, although the burger we received was not as pictured and did not include a Moving Mountain patty. The burger we ordered was dry and tasteless, accompanied by a dry salad and half of a roasted pepper. The children's menu offered only two options: a burger and sausage with chips. My child chose the sausages, but they were also dry and unappetizing, reminiscent of veggie sausages from 20 years ago with a hard shell and soft center. In all honesty, the vegan options at this restaurant were barely edible and not worth considering, even after a day of hiking and mountain biking when we were particularly hungry.

I would like to thank you for the wonderful experience at your restaurant. Our server, Rose, was absolutely delightful. The food was exceptional, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was perfect. I would rate everything a 5 out of 5!
