Tim Mcloone's Supper Club - Asbury Park

This restaurant was fine, but certainly not worth the premium they charge. Many other better options are available in the area. Fun entertainment and great location with boardwalk and ocean views but the food and service is just ok at best. $38 crab cakes tasted good but were dry. $40 NY Strip was cooked as I requested but they just poor a sauce over it. Tasted good but was not very creative. Swordfish was VERY dry. Limited menu options overall (although they will do some of the menu for the other McLoone's restaurant down stairs. If I were to go again I would just eat downstairs which is more reasonably priced but as I said there are much better options so I likely will not be back.

Well, if i wanted to be a jerk, i would leave no stars at all. i explain why i left what I left. I was there with my girl and her mother. Great place with what have been great service and great meals in the past...well that certainly changed. We sat close to the stage, piano playing and singing--which is a great background music and very pleasurable, was so loud, i could not hear my girls mother sitting across the table from me. At the 20 minute mark, i actually walked to the bar to get drinks. We had not been approached by anyone yet. At the 33 minute mark, i made my way to the hostess station and asked if we could have a waiter or waitress come to our table. I kid you not, when i did, i was asked if anything was needed, and my simple reply was service--we have not seen anyone yet. At 38 minute mark (yes, i literally had the timer going on my phone), the waitress approached us, and acted like nothing ever happened. Like she had not walked by us 30+ times and not said a word, literally just what would you like? We ordered food, and about 11 minutes later, i found myself at the bar again ordering our own drinks.

Excellent food and the musician that played on the night we ate there was outstanding. I didn't get his name but he played both piano and guitar and his vocals were amazing.

Had a wonderful time. The food was great, the music was great and the service could have been better (a bit more attentive) but all things considered, it was a nice evening!

Great food, great service, drinks pricey however, still a good time.
