My family felt pressured as the ladies thrust food directly at them, with no option to decline. To make matters worse, we couldn’t even get tap water; they charged for bottled water. What kind of restaurant works like this? When my family asked for a cup of ice, I suspect they charged us for that too. You honestly have no idea how much they’re charging you because they whisk the plates away so quickly and stamp your receipt in a language that isn’t English. The manager displayed a complete lack of customer service and was incredibly rude. This place used to be good; I've been coming here for the last 15 years, but I think it’s time for them to close. I also want to mention a previous visit I had with my parents where we received terrible service, leading us to decide not to leave a tip. As we walked out, a bald server immediately picked up the check and laughed out loud while showing it to the other staff, boasting about the $0 tip. It's absurd how unprofessional the staff behaves, and disappointing to see them provide such minimal service while expecting generous tips. BOTTOM LINE: AVOID THIS PLACE—IT NEEDS TO SHUT DOWN!
My family's favorite spot for dim sum for over 15 years! They still have the traditional carts being pushed around, and older Asian ladies rush to take your orders even before you sit down. I don’t see this place as crowded as it used to be anymore, likely due to COVID impacts and the opening of new dim sum places. It used to be packed, especially on Sundays, with long lines. I feel like the pandemic has affected their quality. When you ask for water, they give you bottled water, and many items seem to have disappeared from the menu (where have the fried taro balls gone?). A lot of the food seems to be left out for a while, and items from the non-heated carts are usually at room temperature. I’m disappointed to see their quality decline, but it's still a familiar spot for my family. No frills here; you pay for what you see and get!
I will never return. The staff was very disrespectful; the manager had a negative attitude when we politely declined food we hadn't ordered.
Dim sum noon time on a Wednesday. We got there around 1pm. I called the restaurant prior to going to the restaurant. The person I spoke with said dim sum ends at 3pm everyday. The last time I went there to ask for pricing, they said they do get a very large crowd on weekends. We went on a midweek and there were about 5 table when got there and few more tables after we got seated. Service was great. They do wheel carts for dim sum but one weird thing is that they will reheat the dim sum for you. The only thing I enjoy is the fried fish. The rest was mediocre. Shui Mai isn't chef made, it frozen bought from Chinese markets. You don't get to pick your flavor of tea. They just give whatever on the house. Charge $1 tea/person. $5-6 for basic dim sum and $7-10 for premium dim sum. It's not your typical dim sum like in the 626. But if you want your dim sum craving fix, come here.
Been coming here for decades. Although it 's been a while since we 've been here. Quality and service is still very good, but we did experince some sticker shock at the end. It 's not the cheap and cheerful time it used to be. But what is today? Regardless, we can not be doing the every Sunday after church ritual it was before the pandemic. Actually, I was wondering why it was so sparsely attended when we got there. Usually at that time there ws
