Archie's on the Park at Moore Park Inn

Have had exceptional dining experience here in the past. Not this time round at all. Very disappointed not only with the limited menu choice but the overall quality of the food presented was well below 4and half star restaurant.

Food was ok, ambience ok, hosts were lovely and Harley the dog was such a sweet heart! Would stay at Moore Park again but probably wouldn't come back for dinner unless they modernized a bit and added a few more veg options:)

Just back from dinner at Archie's.Starter Tomato soup which was just ordinary.Main was a big streak from reasonable quality floating in mashed potatoes and a few vegetables. Dessert was Affogato which was a scoop ice cream with coffee and a questionable liquor. Wine from the region which was OK Plus one bottle Pellegrino All together the amount $ 210,- For just 2 people !

Our meal was the best we've had in Armidale, and really enjoyable. My granddaughter and I both had the fish of the day which couldn't be faulted - moist and perfectly cooked. My wife had the duck which she raved about. At the suggestion of the restaurant owner, we had a local Verdelho which complemented the meal well. While the menu might not be extensive, the quality of the food was excellent, and the wine list interesting with both local, interstate and overseas wines. We will definitely return when we next visit Armidale, and recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent dining experience.

The meal was excellent with a very nice bottle of red to go with it. The service was great with the owner also spending time with you to make sure everything was OK and for a general chat
