Bistrot Rg - Armentières

We arrived earlier than our booking on Saturday but were welcomed and shown a table in this buzzing attractive and well maintained restaurant. After a little wait we ordered a beer from a good selection of different local brews. Delicious menu with tasty options you can add including oysters and steaks. My octopus was delicious followed by excellent profiteroles, chocolate mousse and coffee. We chose the 3 course glass wine selection all very well matched to the dishes we each chose. I’m so pleased to be able to return next week ! Excellent value for such a high quality experience- sadly unusual in France these days.

Well hidden bistrot ! (a bit difficult to find !!! which is worth the detour : refined and tasteful dishes, simple. Good welcome!

Very good, modern bistro. Very limited menu (no veggie options, so every dish gets the focus it deserves. Local and organic products. Beautiful plate in some rustic style. Great flavors. On the outside it can look a bit scary, but never judge a book through its cover
