Potomac Social Tavern - Arlington

This place is located in a hotel Crown Plaza Crystal City. This wasn't clear, but I probably just missed that. Parked in the street using the park app. There is a parking garage. I do r know if they validate for restaurant business.Restaurant is pretty small. We weee promptly greeted and seated at a table for 2.Wife had the autumn inspired sangria. I stuck with water this trip.Menu was reasonable in depth and price. Not bad for DC metro at least.We started with the mezzeh appetizer. Super good.I had the burger. I can't remember what the wife had, but she smiled through the meal, so it must have been fine.Good service. Good vibe.Recommended while in Crystal City area.

Great experience with Potomac Social Tavern, they were able to host a party of 14 within a few days' notice. Great staff and the wait time for food and drinks wasn't long even on a Friday night.

Convenient location for our purpose that evening. Small location with food that is adequate. Service was spotty; they were quite busy. Our meals were ordered at the same time yet one of us waited a good 15 minutes while the other 2 had their meals. We checked quite a few times before the third meal finally arrived. Looked to have a nice bar scene. Would not return when in that area again.

You never know what you might get in a hotel restaurant. They were clearly short staffed but all servers and bartenders worked together to make it happen. CJ was doing triple duty covering host podium, bar a few tables. All that aside, our drinks were delicious the food was phenomenal. Ingredients were fresh Flavor combinations were interesting complimentary. Beets were properly roasted, spinach was properly dressed, goat cheese was proper portion so as to be complimentary but not steal the show, tacos had a multitude of flavors that all worked in concert with each other the Salmon was high quality perfectly cooked… a crisp seat on the outside just a faint hue of translucency at the core. It’s important we give credit to the kitchen as it was clearly a busy night they took pride in preparation didn’t just “schlep it out”….. THANK YOU CHEF! Well done!

My wife and I frequent this gem. On our wedding anniversary, I used Open Table and added that remark. The staff greeted us with congratulations and sat us. Normal great service and food but they surprised us with a dessert with “happy anniversary “ on the plate. That's just who this place is. Go,,, enjoy the place.
