Heritage Brewpub - Arlington

We are regular customers who live nearby and always enjoy the outstanding food at this restaurant. My favorite dish is the turkey burger with added avocado. The service is friendly and attentive, even on busy nights. However, despite having a reservation, we had to wait 30 minutes for our table. We were given two free appetizers and received plenty of apologies, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, there wasn't a good place to wait, making the 30 minutes feel awkward, especially with our two teenagers. We usually try to avoid Saturdays, as this restaurant tends to attract a crowd who likes to hang out and lose track of time. Perhaps the restaurant should consider not accepting reservations on Saturday nights, as other popular neighborhood restaurants have done in the past.

The chicken was delicious and the beer had great flavor.

Excellent eating as always. my favorite article is the truthahnburger and I decide to add the avocado. service is friendly and attentive, even in a busy night. despite the reservation we waited 30 minutes for our table. we received many apologies and two free appetizers that we appreciated. there is really no good place to wait, so it was an unpleasant 30 minutes. the bar area was overcrowded and we had our two teenagers with us. Normally we make our best to avoid Saturdays. this is only the type of place people like to hang and forget about the time so heritage should probably not have reservations on Saturday evenings at all. other popular neighbourhood restaurants had to do this in the first years.

Super super disappointed in food. GA Shrimps were absolutely the worst shrimps that you could imagine and taste. It came with watery diluted bean broth , tasteless greens. Ham was just thrown there to save the situation but it didn’t. The dish smelled anguished. Even simple chicken and grits tasted better. The special watermelon salad was good , except I asked for no cilantro and in came with it anyway (this is servers fault). Gazpacho came as plain sliced radishes and greens, it’s not an actual summer soup, not a hint of classic gazpacho. I respect the creativity but this was just off. The place itself looked very contradicted. It looks like they’ve invested in to the bar area but dining room looked sad and outdated with its bizarre painted walls. It does seem like the restaurant has strong management and they try hard with the servers , however both managers and servers looked hectic and that they had things out of control.
