First Chinese Bbq - Arlington

I have been eating in this restaurant for over 27 years and the consistency that kept me coming back. The food is always great but the service do need some improvement. The restroom is a whole different story and not going to talk about it or I will loosemy appetite. I gave a five stars because of the consistency on all their dishes. Thank you chef!!

We had a group of eight and ordered Beef Flat Noodles, Seafood Flat Noodles, Crispy Noodles with BBQ Pork, and Wonton Noodle Soup with Duck BBQ Pork. The portions were generous and served family-style, and everything was delicious! Our waitress was attentive and the food arrived promptly. Just a heads up, it’s a cash-only establishment, so make sure to bring cash. There are multiple signs indicating that it’s cash only near the cash register.

Not all restaurants are the same. The locations in Richardson and Garland are fantastic, but my experience at the Arlington location was disappointing; I was served medium-rare pork barbecue and combination fried rice that had no flavor whatsoever. Despite my experience, the restaurant was busy with many happy customers, so I suppose my luck with the food just wasn’t great that day. To top it off, we encountered 60 mph wind gusts later on that same day.

We gathered with friends for dinner at this restaurant during our visit from San Antonio. As a vegan, I found the menu somewhat challenging to navigate since I avoid all meat and animal products. However, the waitress was helpful in guiding me to a tofu dish that met my dietary needs. The meals are served family style, with large plates of food and a big serving of rice for everyone to share and sample a variety of dishes. The food was delicious! I just wish there had been more clarification regarding which items were vegetarian or vegan.

The service was decent. We arrived just as the dinner rush was winding down, so there wasn’t much roast pork, roast duck, or BBQ pork available. We managed to get a small portion of each. The fish was quite good, but since it was market price, it ended up being on the expensive side. The sweet and sour dish was just average.
