Imagine a day at the end of November, a walk among the Archanes vineyards to discover the wines of the area... and then, an unexpected lunch among the outdoor tables in the beautiful village square with a wide range of mezes, one better than 'other, excellent wine and the attentive and kind service of Susana and Giorgos The food is inspired by Cretan cuisine, but it is not the usual, traditional and often repetitive, everything is carefully prepared by Susana who knows how to revisit dishes with creativity and taste.... and for a perfect pairing with wine, just ask Giorgos! The best? The pitas with fennel maratho and those with gruyere and apaki pork , the salad with 11 legumes dressed with exceptional oil, the Cretan risotto , and then... the amazing cheesecake with baklava flavor with walnuts and honey and the pita sfakion is delicious, a kind of crepe filled with cheese... Food was good, service was excellent. We visited Bakaliko with our one year old son. We are vegetarian and had more than enough choice. Starters were niet, the risotto could be better. The dessert was magnificant. Besides the food the waitress was very helpfull, professional and advising. She also had a lot of attention for our son and she made our evening to a big success.
