We went for dinner and our hotel had booked a table for three letting them know that two of us are heavily intolerant to gluten. When we arrived we asked for some crackers or gluten free bread and were confronted by an older rather unkept woman who told us she had none. When we mentioned that we had expressly asked our hotel to let them know, she responded that she will NEVER buy anything gluten free and that we could leave if we were not happy. She did not care!!! Honestly rarely have we encountered someone so rude in the hospitality business. If you are looking for a good Tuscan place and an authentic experience this hole in the wall that plays Brazilian Bossa Nova during dinner is really not worth it. Or so
First time in Arezzo and we will be taking home the memories of visiting this small (around 10 tables) restaurant, blink and you miss it. The menu is limited, but that's always an indication that everything is fresh and local. Lucia, the owner runs it, with the help o a cook and she doesn't mind explaining every dish in details, but her love is wine. A tiny restaurant with a cellar of 12,000 bottles that she has been collecting for the last 24 years, even the house wine is an amazing Chianti. We will be back.
Wonderfully prepared and authentic. Simple, rustic, perfection. Lovely service. Thank you for helping us order. Your English is better than our Italian....
Wine shop that is also an Italian slow food restaurant. Regional soups are especially interesting. They all have bread and in the case of the onion soup...
