Tired Hands Brew Café - Ardmore

Placing an order was a breeze—you simply scan a code, order online from your phone, and they bring your food or drinks to you quickly. Our group really loved the shishito peppers and sweet potato fries. The peppers were cooked to perfection, though I would have preferred a bit more salt adhering to them rather than just resting at the bottom of the dish. Best of all, the final bill was very reasonable. Their prices for IPAs are fair, especially compared to the $12 beers you often find downtown. We brought a board game and spent several hours enjoying ourselves. I definitely plan on returning!

I’m thrilled to finally share my thoughts on Tired Hands Brewing's Fermentaria location! I first discovered this brewery during the height of the COVID lockdown, and although I couldn’t sample their beers at that time, I developed a bit of an obsession with their online merchandise store, ordering several shirts and hoodies. When I finally had the chance to try Tired Hands' beer, I was excited! Steve and I enjoyed a beer called Alien Church, which is a New England IPA. It’s definitely one of the best IPAs I've had in the last few months. The flavors are delightful—tropical, sweet, and hoppy—and the texture is smooth and light. This New England IPA stands out from the many average ones that other breweries produce.

I'm not usually one to write reviews, and my previous visits have been decent, but I recently had an unsettling experience at this restaurant. One of the bartenders served my friends and me our beer, but he hardly spoke, which made the interaction feel awkward. When he returned with our second round, my friend noticed a large tattoo of a machine gun or assault rifle on his arm. Feeling uncomfortable, we quickly finished our drinks and decided to eat somewhere else. I've enjoyed visiting this place in the past, but this experience was quite concerning.

Didn't get to see what the beer food was like because we were supposed to scan a QR code to see the menu and order. Why? I was there with my boomer parents who were totally befuddled and so was I. I have to enter my name and email address into an app just to get a sandwich and then have you spam me for a hundred years? Infuriating, inconsiderate, and inaccessible to so many. We just walked out.

The original spot. Amazing staff and even better beer selection. They have exceptional IPAs, stouts, lagers, and anything else you can think of—they’ve brewed it all. It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like home, and the food is simply perfect.
