Too thick, and something missing from the recipe. I just know bit ti get itagain. They were very accommodating to add fish sauce which was excellent. Friendly, clean. Its difficult to order because thewall mounted menu can't be seen from the register so its awkward. I will definitely return to try other items.
Yummy and healthy dinner to go from Saigon Noms! Had a plate with tofu, pork egg roll, and noodles. All was very flavorful, fresh, and filling. We also got a grilled chicken banh mi that was a good hot sandwich. Excited to stop by again, hopefullysometime soon! Also, purchased a Thai tea blended drink which was lightly sweetened (25% and it was so refreshing. Glad therewas options as to how sweet it could be!
Amazing food , great taste and presentation. Drinks are really good too. Must try if you are by the superstition
I love a good Bahn Mi' almost anytime of day or night. One of my top ten asian foods. I was driving back from a visit in Gold Canyon with relatives, and thought lets stop and try someplace new on the East side of town. I found Saigon Noms on yelp and headed there.Clean, bright, small cute little spot right off the road. Modern menu, bright lights, clean, checking off all my favorite boxes so far.The order taken, young man in early 20's my guess was trying to be polite and friendly, but just wasn't pulling it off.I asked for lighter ice and extra water in my tea, the way I prefer it. He said no. Hmmm, simple request, denied, deduct star. Food had good presentation, the Tea was ok, the bahn Mi' was just ok, and I added Fried egg to it, which should have kicked it up a notch already. I had to ask for Sriracha, which I felt was a weird request. No Fish sauce or Hot sauce, chili sauce in a Vietnamese restaurant. I always want to support locals, and i would go here again if no other asian cuisine available in the area, but it's lacking the positive energy to elevate it and make it a go to place.
Really great flavors. Great care is taken in making their own ingredients. Even in areas that have a dense Vietnamese population with restaurants to match, I don't often see home made hoisen sauce. While the place does have some shortcomings, there's literally no other Vietnamese places around so it does an outstanding job at what it does for such a small place.*Edit, sorry for having to delete the review and repost it. Something went wrong on my end.
