Ihop - Ankeny

I haven't eaten at IHOP in a few years. I ordered the country fried steak, but I was also tempted by the burger and the omelette—there were just too many choices! We waited several minutes to be seated, even though there was no one ahead of us. Once we were seated, our server quickly came over to take our drink order. Although it felt like our food took a bit longer to arrive—probably because I was so hungry—I have to say it was worth it. My dinner was definitely not healthy, but I absolutely loved it! I don’t know why I don’t visit IHOP more often; the food was great, and the server was very friendly and attentive.

The service was exceptionally friendly, and the food was fantastic. We had a short wait of about 10 minutes for a table when we arrived on a Saturday morning around 10:45 AM. My wife and I were very satisfied with our experience.

It was quite busy when we arrived. Janet greeted us warmly, and the wait time we were given was accurate. Our waitress was overwhelmed but remained incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. Hats off to her for handling a hectic morning with such grace!

The food was excellent, and the service was good as well. However, I encountered an issue with the rewards for part of my meal that didn’t work, and I felt that the staff were unhelpful in addressing the problem. I reached out to customer support through another channel, but they informed me that there was nothing that could be done at the restaurant.

Tonight, Ryker was our waiter, and he was fantastic. He was very polite and attentive, even though the restaurant was quite busy for a Friday. Our food was fabulous—hot and just right. We were seated in less than 20 minutes, which speaks to their efficient waiting list system. The staff was well-organized and friendly. I will definitely be returning to this IHOP!
