フィードバックを提供するI was very disappointed to discover that Green Goa, a popular curry restaurant in Arpora, had been demolished and was currently under reconstruction. I believe it must have been open until the end of 2015, but was closed during the second half of January and the first half of February. Despite this, the quality of the reconstruction work, including a solid wood floor, is very impressive, so I am excited to visit again next year."
I was really worried that one of my favorite restaurants was burned in the last february, but can report that it was rebuilt and that eating is just as good. fabulous curries at very cheap prices. not to miss.
The new restaurant is not as good as the old one we used to frequent. The service was poor, with the typical Goan smiling. The food was okay, but I don't think I would return. There was no ice available for the bottled water, so our drinks were warm.
The atmosphere may be lacking, but the huh kalapouri is absolutely delicious. Plus, the added bonus of meeting pawpaw, the adorable dog, makes the experience even more enjoyable.
Green Goa is the restaurant closest to where we stay in Arpora. It lays back about 50 yards from the main road in the middle of a field and doesn't look very impressive, but don't be put off. Prices are incredibly cheap but the quality...of the curries is fantastic, although there is not a huge amount of meat in the meat dishes. They make the best rotis in Arpora.Anjuna. This is my favourite restaurant for curry in the whole of North Goa and we ate there about six or eight times in a five week period to February 2014. The Hariyali Chicken is outstanding. Unfortunately, the restaurant was burned down about three days before we left, but I hope it is up and running again for our annual visit in 2015.
