The decor was interesting, quaint, reminiscent of an England long past 1930s perhaps as well as some old photographs of former local proprietors. We were amused as we normally avoid english kitsch when travelling but nowhere else was open in early October and the staff were friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. Curiously part way through one conversation it emerged that one of the staff spoke English fluently having been born in that country!
Great little place, we had a good lunch in the garden. Named a salon de the which is obviously their description but it is much more. You can get a traditional English afternoon tea etc but also many excellent other options during the day.
Very good simple restaurant with nice new bosses and good cuisine!
We went to eat in this little restaurant on September 16, 2023. Very good reception. We ate everything well was impeccable. I recommend this establishment.
Simple but efficient! The place is lovely, especially the terrasse with the view on the castle 's ruins and a branch of the river. The dishes were simple but delicious (additional point for the vegan options! . Myself and my partner had a vegan burger and my dad a salade de gésiers . The cakes looked absolutely fantastic, my dad loved his cafe gourmand. Great portions. The service was lovely and professional. Will come back again and suggest this place to my family and friends!
