フィードバックを提供するOverall, we were extremely disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. We came here hoping for a wonderful Mother's Day brunch, but unfortunately, it fell far short of our expectations. They were out of nearly everything and took an excessive amount of time to restock. There was one gentleman—who was very pleasant and professional—managing four omelet stations and two Belgian waffle stations; it was quite absurd. He did his best, but I ended up being away from my family for 30 minutes just to get us some food. The coffee was terrible—way too weak—and we were missing most of our silverware. Our server was friendly, but did little to help us with our issues. I won’t be returning.
However, the experience was somewhat marred by our waitress. When we arrived, there were still plenty of open tables, although they filled up by the end of the night. We were seated right away since we had made a reservation in advance. Unfortunately, it took a full fifteen minutes before anyone took our drink order or brought us bread—there was no communication at all during that time. In that same span, four other tables were seated, two of which had the same waitress as ours, and those tables received water, bread, and drinks before we were even acknowledged. The other two tables also got their water and bread immediately. When our waitress finally approached us, we realized it was the same one who had passed by us numerous times since we were seated. She seemed overwhelmed, even though the restaurant wasn't fully packed yet, and her service throughout the night was forgetful and lacking.
Feeling too tired to indulge, we opted for small plates and a salad. My husband ordered the daily special, a small plate featuring a generous portion of Chilean sea bass, which he enjoyed to the point of not sharing a bite with me. I chose the crab cakes, and they were deliciously light and flavorful, with minimal breading. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing our experience. The restaurant was quiet during our visit—as January tends to be a slow season—but a large group nearby was comfortably accommodated without affecting the atmosphere. We will definitely return when we're ready to fully enjoy a meal and celebrate.
This restaurant is always a hidden gem. Food is very good. Outside fire pit is great for an after dinner drink. Great for date night.
I don't usually think much of restaurants located in a suburban chain hotel. 189 Prime is a great find and I expect we will return. We ate there late on a Friday night after checking into the hotel for a weekend wedding. The restaurant was quiet as I would expect around 9PM. The wait staff was very attentive. I had a hankering for a burger that evening but they aren't on the menu but when I mentioned I really wanted our waitress said it would be no problem. My husband had the rib eye from the menu. I added the Cheddar Bacon Tater Tots to my burger additional charge but they were worth it! We both enjoyed our meals.
