フィードバックを提供するThis one included, there are NO outstanding Asian restaurants in Ancona (or Marche in general). However in terms of comparison, this IS the best one among them. Their plates are great. There is attention to the cooking, as well as the clients personal preferences (something that no other Asian restaurant in Ancona can boost about). The personnel is one of the major factors for this restaurant being the best here. They are friendly. They are willing. THEY KNOW HOW TO SMILE. They can speak English (major problem in Italy) and they pay attention to their regulars (and no, the other ones don 't do that). The prize for Asian restaurants of Ancona is pretty much the same in all of them, but it 's also lower in comparison to all other restaurants of the city (specially the Italian ones). The environment inside is... not exactly to my liking (could use some more light), but still very China like. I 'm more about the food than details like those, but if you want the feel of the China environment, they sure have it. In all Asian restaurant in Italy, they will bring you your orders randomly according to what is easier for them to prepare first, so you often get the main plate for first and the appetizers for last. If you ask anyone else to get a specific order for your order, they will say yes, but they will still do as they please, regardless. Shanghai instead pays attention to the clients requests. You want the appetizers first? They will listen. You want a specific ingredient NOT to be included in your food? They listen. This is also the ONLY Asian restaurant i have visited in Ancona that did not forget to bring me part of my order. Mainly all Asian restaurants are quite quick to bring you your order and Shanghai is good in this regard also. Actually, for heavy traffic moments, like Saturday nights, they are faster than most others. Their variety covers a big part of the Asian cusine and you can even find the fabled Pekin duck here. I strongly advice this restaurant. They are worth it.
This was the only place we could find open. The food was OK. Nothing outstanding but not bad. The price was right. Staff were very friendly.
Having spent 2 hours trudging round Ancona to try and find an Italian restaurant, and all we could find were bars and cafes, we were getting desperate and the only restaurant we found that was open was the Shanghai. From the look of the frontage, it looks tiny, but go inside and it opens out to quite a large split level restaurant. Decor is tasteful. We were lucky in that a member of staff was an ex English teacher from Beijing, our grasp of the Italian language is quite poor, so it was helpful that she understood us. The food that we ordered arrived promptly and I can honestly say was probably the best I have tasted outside of London's China town. (I find most Chinese restaurant food too salty, but this was perfect) and topped off with some Beijing beer that I can't remember the name of. My only criticism was the toilets could have been a bit cleaner!(which is why I didn't give five stars) Would definitely go back if I'm ever in Ancona again. So don't be put off by the view from outside... Go in and eat well!!
Il cibo è fantastico, il personale è cordiale e disponibile, e il locale è molto bello. Merita davvero molto e il rapporto qualità-prezzo è ottimo! Consigliato.
Cibo delizioso, personale cordiale, location suggestiva.
