フィードバックを提供するYes, I came back. Not because I like the food but because I knew they’d have the bball game on. Food is pretty bad. Service is very iffy depending on how much of a crowd they get for sports. Not interested in the same dumpster bar food, I saw they offered a steak. I like frequenting steak places and I thought I’d give it a shot. Unfortunately the steak was just as bad as all their other “food”. Extremely gristly and fatty. But not marbling; just fat. 1/3 of the steak was not actually meat. All I can say is, if you come here thinking of ordering a steak. Don’t! Just say no! Yes, it’s that bad.
This is our second time to the Peanut Farm. The pizza was wonderful, hand tossed, thin crust and the corn fritters were as good as they were at the Sourdough Mining Company years ago. Our waitress was so sweet and she was very attentive even though she was very busy.
We had a Valentine Dinner here because we knew it wouldn’t be busy. We self seated with a view of Campbell Creek and although everything was covered in snow, it was a quiet seating area and peaceful. Our server was really friendly and attentive and made great (and honest) recommendations. Ex: she was honest that the coleslaw was really soupy that day and to get the soup instead. Our meal was prompt, hot and really good. After not living in anchorage for so long, we just were t used to some of these prices…$16+ for sandwiches!
Holy rude staff, batman. They seemed annoyed that we came in at all. Didn't get drink refills until the meal was over. The food was pretty good though. Obviously won't be back.
Our first meal on this Alaskan trip and we will be coming back. Got a great outdoor seat overlooking Campbell Creek. Football on TVs at both ends of the deck. Cold beer served promptly. Our food came out fast and was wonderful. I went for the popcorn chicken and fries. Being an Idahoan, I can be a bit of a potato snob and these fries were great. My wife had a HUGE chicken taco salad. She commented on how she liked the chili on it. We also ordered potato skins AFTER our meal. They were also massive. Needed a take-away for those which we snacked on later in our room. That all said, Hannah, our server, was fabulous. Fun, witty, attentive, chatty, and rocked it. We asked her if she would consider moving to Idaho and work at one of our favorite pubs. She was the best.
