Fire Island Rustic Bakeshop - Anchorage

During my visit to Anchorage from Denver, CO, I stumbled upon an incredible bakery. The quality and variety of the food are exceptional, and the staff is warm and friendly. There's a genuine sense of community here, and their dedication to quality and health is truly impressive. This is hands down the BEST bakery I've ever experienced! I had a delightful conversation with the owner, who clearly possesses a profound passion for people, healthy food, and genuine connections! I was truly inspired by her strong commitment to sustainability, excellence, quality, corporate responsibility, and promoting the well-being of her community. Our country and the world could certainly use more individuals like her!

This is the best bakery in Anchorage—and perhaps in all of Alaska, as far as I can tell. While it is on the expensive side compared to other places, it's definitely worth indulging in every now and then. I have to confess, though, that we are regular customers and visit quite often. The bread here is both simple and exceptional; it's the real deal, unlike what you find at average American sandwich shops. This is the fundamental bread, the kind that represents the true essence of bread-making. It’s the bread of Plato, truly essential.

Absolutely fantastic fresh-baked raspberry scone! It was simply delicious! We had a wonderful birthday celebration with Yeghsa. The owner is beautiful, warm, and truly friendly. Every time I visit Fire Island, the food never fails to impress - it's always delicious and healthy.

One of the best bakeries I've ever been to! Foodgasms with every bite of every goodie I bought. Anchorage is so lucky to have this wonderful place!

Fire Island made my daughter’s beautiful wedding cakes for her wedding last weekend. They were outstanding. A lovely polenta cake with raspberry filling, and a yellow cake with whipped raspberry frosting. They were both delicious and beautiful. I highly recommend them.
