Too expensive for leitão, the meat was not so good for the price and the service was very slow. only a normal and expensive restaurant of leitão. is not recommended.

Eating was great, with a good quality. but the number of ice creams they have in the menu is greater than what they have in the refrigerator and that means they are almost out of it. I personally think they should have more, but that's nothing of my business. the place is beautiful and has from small to large tables, and that makes it good for a person, a couple, a family or even a party.

We had dinner here because it was close to our hotel. we don't speak Portuguese, so it was a bit of a challenge to order because our waiter, although very friendly, hasn't spoken much English. we have managed to get a leitao-roasted sucking pig with a great sauce, but my man raved over his excellent meeress kewer with garnel and mönchen. it was actually garnel and tinted fish, but it was a huge part of fish and perfectly cooked. we thought it was great.

In a beautiful building casa dos leitoes J.s.o virgilio is a firm for the eyes, but I believe with a small improvement it can also be firm for the mag!

Being relatively late, and also being relatively close to the hotel, we stopped here for dinner for the traditional “Leitão Suckling Pig” … which is what you normally eat in this region in Portugal. The restaurant itself is clean and bright… however, starting to...feel overtaken by time. Service is fast. I would say, however, that the staff is not the friendliest people around, not doing the “Portuguese Hospitality” any good at all. They border on arrogant. There is a full menu available with various options, but being in this area, we ordered (with no surprise) the “Leitão”, a nice salad and chips. Suckling pig was tasty with crackling skin – just perfect (as is the norm in this area), salad fresh, but the chips were disappointing, since they were soggy with a taste of over-used frying oil. Wine was great, though… just ordered the jug of simple house wine, that was above average. As to the price, it is in line with what is normal in this area. I do consider this a good place to eat… not the best… but good quality at expected prices. I just hope that the staff would have a better attitude. Another point I would mention is that sometimes they do get busloads of people in here… and this can complicate the service.
