Amen Place Soup Kitchen - Amsterdam

This organization single handedly provides crucial and vital services to our community. Hundreds of families have their basic need of hunger fulfilled by selfless volunteers. Furthermore, their substantial donations to area schools keeps children fed and clothed. They provide weekly meals for the backpack program in order to feed families. They also commit to providing annual Thanksgiving meals to dozens of families. As a community member and as a community advocate, I believe that the Amen Soup Kitchen is one of the most influential and one of the most beneficial organizations in our city.

The Amen Place has been instrumental in getting supplies for multiple schools in the district. I have been able to collect and distribute to Lynch Literacy Academy and Marie Curie. They are always the first to step up and donate. The Amen place is in the center( the heart) of this community that continues to give to all. Volunteers show up and work and make sure the community is loved and fed. The founders inspired us all and gave us a place to continue to volunteer to provide for our families and schools. I’m constantly amazed by the love and commitment of The Amen Place.

These people work daily to help those in need. Many don't even realize the half of what goes into what makes Tuesday happen for the community. True hearted heros giving their all.

Every Tuesday is good distribution u drive up and they place a big box of food in your car

This pantry serves over 600 families a week. A WEEK! I believe it is the only one in the area that does it weekly, all volunteer ran and does above and beyond to help the community and beyond.
