My man and I wanted to try out this restaurant already a because, so when we finally went to dinner, we were very surprised that eating was extremely dirty and undercooked. we ordered both fish, and it was as if the fish was cooked to remove all taste. even the sauce that came with him was tasteless. the only high point was our waitress who was very nice and helpful. I'd say that was the worst food we had since the move to amsterdam.

Had breakfast here on my last day in Amsterdam. I was the only one in the place : but I would say that was due to it being 11am on Saturday, nobody seemed too get up early in the city. Croissant with cheese and ham and a fruit salad was what I had. Was very tasty, and my latte macchiato was equally good. The atmosphere of the place was great as well.

This place was great! We had a great server we nicknamed Oyster Man. Make sure and ask for him. We ordered seafood, steak, and seafood ravioli. We thought the wine and beer selection were excellent with a nice variety. The pommes frites were great and the ambience was nice and wasn't only tourists but some Dutch too.

Just finished dinner with a group of six. The dinner was fabulous. We dined early, so chef Mickey took care of our table. He has been a chef for 35 years and is a true professional. The food was expertly prepared and the wine was perfect and the chef regaled us with stories of his career. He has been brought in to upscale the food and service and he is an expert in the restaurant business. I highly recommend Thijs.

I went to this place with two other couples on a Friday night. We got excellent service. The food was good but I was expecting more. My husband had the salmon and it came with a very small vegetable side and nothing else. I had the duck breast which came with considerable more amount of food for the same price so we were a little confused about that. I felt for the prices I was really expecting more out of the food. I won't be going back as there are a lot of other places in Amsterdam that are amazing. also this place boasted lot of vegetarian options. there was one entrée option and that was a vegetarian risotto, which my party described as grainy. and there really wasn't any vegetarian starters to order other than a Caesar salad. overall just a lack of variety and creativity on the menu.
