Srikandi Amsterdam

Great restaurant not far from the Rjiks Museum. We ordered the Rijsttafel and loved it. Highly recommend.

Very good Indonesian Off the museumplein. Indonesia was once under dutch rule so you will find it around the Netherlands. Yellow rice is delicious with coconut and curry. I had rack of lamb and she had spicy chicken. Inexpensive as fine dining goes. Service is fast and helpful. Family run so the owners are taking orders and serving. The dining room is lovely with large windows for people watching and traditional decor. We've come here on two separate visits to Amsterdam. For first timers try the tasting menu.

Cute little Indonesian place in Central Amsterdam. Came here last month because I was cravin rijstaffel. Not many places in Amsterdam serve rijstaffel for 1 person, but Srikandi allowed me to do the rijstaffel for just me! I ordered the middle priced rijstaffel because it included soto ayam (one of my favorite soups . Food was pretty standard Indonesian fare including favorites like gado gado, rendang and chicken satay which were all very delicious (and some spicy . There were some items that I didn't recognize but I enjoyed them all. Reminded me of the Indonesian food I've had in Jogjakarta and Jakarta. Overall a great experience with good service and makanan sedap (yum food! . Hope to be back next time I'm in Amsterdam.
